We are happy to run droidcon Berlin at Postbahnhof in 2016 for the second time.
The „Postbahnhof“ (English: Postal Train Station) was taken into operation in 1907 as main distribution center for Prussia and eastern part of the German Empire, the building was used for this purpose until the reunification in 1990. Since then the massive halls host concerts, parties and conferences; also big Internet companies' offices can be found there.

It is located next to the „Ostbahnhof“, one of the biggest train stations in the city, which was temporarily used as Central Station in the GDR. Also in sight is the famous „East Side Gallery“; a 1,3 km long former part of the Berlin Wall which is now covered in more than 100 paintings from international artists.
Postbahnhof is located between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, two districts that are famous for its night life and international atmosphere, so getting a hotel close to the conference will still get you a very good experience of the city.
